What is a Corwin Books back order?

When placing an order with Corwin the product may be temporarily out of stock or has not yet been published. If this occurs, the order will be as a back-order and it will be supplied to you as soon as the title is back in stock or published.

How will I know if my order will be a back order?

Unfortunately, the Corwin website does not offer real-time updates on product availability during order placement. The website does include publications dates for upcoming publications. Therefore, if your order is a back order due to stock availability, you will not be informed until the order is completed.

If you have any queries about stock availability, please contact our Customer Services Team.

Will my Credit Card be charged for a back order?

When you order an item that is not yet published or out of stock, a temporary authorization, which is not a charge but a temporary hold, will appear on your credit card. If the item does not ship within a few days, the authorization will expire and the hold will be released. We will only charge your credit card when the item ships.
